SEND Dads Dialogue: Coffee & Conversations
📍 Local Somali Café or Mosque Community Room
Join us for a relaxed and welcoming session designed specifically for Somali and BAME fathers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This gathering aims to create a safe, informal space where dads can share their experiences, challenges, and hopes around parenting SEND children. Over coffee and conversation, we’ll explore topics such as mental health, navigating school systems, and overcoming cultural barriers.
The goal is to build trust among fathers in similar situations, offer emotional support, and create a sense of community through peer-to-peer dialogue. Whether you’re seeking advice, want to share your journey, or simply need a listening ear, you’re warmly invited.
This session values openness, understanding, and shared lived experience. Together, we hope to foster ongoing support networks that reflect our cultural context and collective strengths as fathers and carers.
